Proposal for a large-scale installation consisting of a series of site / tree-specific sculptures, each moving in constant response to the limbs of an individual tree.

The sculptures envisaged in Twin Towers take the form of light timber ‘devices’, attached to strategic parts of the tree via subtle steel or nylon lines - creating an illusion of the works being self-supporting entities in themselves, yet which move constantly with the tree’s own movement.

Constructed from timber that has been felled or fallen in the local area, using methods that draw upon traditional forestry craft and green woodworking - abstracting joint, splice and cutting techniques into a new form.
